GOLD SAINTS 2012
Mark Saturday April 28 down in the diary
for the 1st Gold Saints Lunch for 2012. The
lunch will be held to mark our first home game
for season 2012, against Bulleen Templestowe.
2012 Membership details and ways to pay will
be sent out in the next week or so so start
saving.
I need you to bring a friend as a member this
year. Please get in the ear of your old friends
from the club and get them to contact
me via email or please supply me with their
details. We had 56 members last year, two great
lunches and Ian Dicker was a fine guest speaker.
My aim is to get 85 plus members this year and
there will be more good times in store so
for a $100.00 membership, there is no excuse!

2012 FIXTURE ANNOUNCED
The 2012 D2 Fixture has been announced, and our season
commences on Saturday April 21 with an away game against
Old Paradians.
Our first home game will be on Saturday April 28 against
Bulleen Templestowe.
We will play 9 home games at Ferndale Park, including
the final game of the season against Therry Penola.

VAFA D2 2012
The make-up of VAFA Section 2 in 2012 will be
as follows: Bulleen/Templestowe, Eltham OC, Emmaus/St.
Leos, Latrobe University, Monash Gryphons, Old Paradians,
Prahran/Assumption, St. Marys-Salesian, South Melbourne
Districts, Therry Penola.
U18 SIDE IN 2012
We have had exceptional numbers train for the under
19’s (over 43 so far), so we are now aiming to
have both under 18 & under 19 this season. We
will have more details soon.

MALCOLM: CLUB PRESIDENT 2012
It is with great pleasure that we can announce
that David Malcolm has accepted the position
of Club President for Season 2012. David continues
a very proud family tradition: his grandfather George
Malcolm was club president in the years 1936-1938
& 1946-56, and father Don Malcolm was club president
in the years 1974-77 & 1987-88.

SENIOR COACHES ANNOUNCED
In what is a massive coup for the St. Mary's
Salesian AFC, the President and committee are
delighted to announce the appointment of Erwin
Leyden as the Senior Coach and Jarryd
Allen as Assistant Coach for season 2012.

RESERVES COACHES REAPPOINTED
We are pleased to announce the reappointment
of Mark Purcell and Luke O’Shannessy
as joint Reserves coaches for Season 2012. Mark
and Luke have done a fantastic job this season
and are excited with the prospect of guiding
the Reserves to a successful year in 2012.
