FROM THE VAULT:
1980 GRAND FINAL

An extract from the 1980 Grand Final of the 3/4 time plea by coach Neil LeLievre to his group of players was shown at the 75th anniversary past captains and coaches lunch and held the group spellbound. The words, body language, eyeballing of every player, the intensity of the message and the compelling will to win was oozing out of Neil's body. Even some 27 years later there was no chance that every one could not feel what each player must have been going through.

View the archival footage of Neil's famous address at Saints TV. Although the quality of the 27 year old video has faded somewhat, the message is loud and clear .... this is what St Mary's is all about!
