Ferndale Flash: Match Previews
This Week's Game
SENIORS & RESERVES
Round 8 - Sat 31st May vs. Paradians

Ferndale Park, Glen Iris Rd, Glen Iris Melways M60 A7
Back home again this week and the Saints have been licking their wounds after a couple of very rough & demoralizingly unsuccessful road trips. Our opponents this week, Old Paradians, have been very successful in the VAFA ranks competing not so long ago in A Grade, so they will not want to be in D2 for too long. Whilst they have won a couple of D2 games (beating Glen Eira-Rd1 & Bentleigh-Rd4) their other performances have been far from startling. But the Saints have taken a battering in the last few weeks and it would be a good side to come back from there. Close one to call but it would be a good one to win to get our season back on track.

The Ressies also face OP’s who have been very consistent this year and sit 4-3 with a couple of good performances against the top sides. If the Saints can get back on track and regain the form of the early rounds this should be a bottler – but recent form is a good indicator and OP’s seem to have the better of that.

SUPER SAINTS
Round 8 - Sat 31st May vs. Emmaus St Leos
Southern Rd Oval, Acacia Ave, Mentone , Melways 87 E6

The Super Saints (SS) are coming off two (2) in a row but their opponents this week inflicted their first defeat in Rd 3 by 6 goals. It will be a tough assignment against the top side that have only had the one loss in Rd 6 against the well credentialed, Old Camberwell. But the Saints are back in winning form and a different result from the last time these two met would not surprise.
