Saints' Disappointing Trifecta

Gryphons proved too strong for a very disappointing
St. Marys Salesian and recorded a comfortable 48
point win. The loss leaves the Saints in the relegation
zone with one victory from four matches and the
side needs to get back to basics and work harder
to re-discover the form that won them the opening

Jekyll, Hyde and two thrillers
Latrobe University made a second half comeback to
overtake St. Marys Salesian and record a 20 point
victory. The Saints put in a Jekyll and Hyde performance,
being good in the first half, but bad after the
break. Supporters of the junior sides were rewarded
with two thrillers with the Under 18's getting home
by 3 points and the Under 19's by 14 points. >

Rome wasn't built in a day!
Bulleen Templestowe played strong football to overpower
St. Marys Salesian and record a comfortable victory.
It was a very disappointing day for the Club with
all four sides going down. SMS has a commitment
to its young players, and is currently laying foundations

Three out of Four Ain't Bad
St. Marys Salesian made an auspicious start to the
VAFA 2012 season with good wins in three of their
four matches. Hearty congratulations are due to
new coaches Erwin Leyden, Damian Sutherland,
Chris Docker and the staff for guiding their
respective sides (the Firsts, Under 19's and newly
formed Under 18's) to comfortable victories. >
