SAINTS WIN D2 RESERVES PREMIERSHIP - At Casey Fields, Cranbourne East - In a disappointing Grand Final result for the faithful, Kew jumped St. Marys Salesian in the first term (and despite a wonderful Saint's fightback) hung on to win by 11 points, thereby taking VAFA Division 2 premiership honours. On a brighter note, SMS Reserves performed well in a high standard game to achieve victory over Ivanhoe by 28 points, thus annexing the VAFA Division 2 Reserves premiership. In the very early game, St. Kevins Old Boys Thirds bounced back strongly outscoring the SMS Premier C 3 team by 48 points, in the process taking the VAFA Premier C Thirds pennant.
