Rd11: SAINTS OUTGUN BUSHRANGERS
St. Marys Salesian played well early to set up a comfortable win over Yarra Valley by 43 points at Ferndale Park, Glen Iris. SMS Reserves gained the ascendancy early and did enough to outclass Yarra Valley by 63 points. St. Marys Salesian Threes won on forfeit when fixtured opponent Old Ivanhoe was unable to field a team for the early match. Meanwhile, the 'Club Ball' held at Lincoln of Toorak was a resounding success with some 135 people enjoying a fabulous Saturday evening. > Match Reports > Ladder
Rd 10: OGGERS FINISH TOO STRONGLY FOR SAINTS
Old Geelong produced a fine last quarter to register a come from behind victory over St. Marys Salesian by 29 points at Como Park, South Yarra. After a very poor first-half, SMS Reserves gradually took control to run out winners over fifth placed Old Geelong by 29 points. Following an evenly fought first-half, PEGS took over to run out easy victors over St. Marys Salesian Threes by 66 points at PEGS Sporting Fields, Keilor Park. > Match Reports
Rd 9: SAINTS JUMP BRAVE BULLANTS
At Ferndale Park, Glen Iris, St. Marys Salesian began well but had to work hard to overcome an improving Bulleen Templestowe by 35 points. After a slow start, SMS Reserves gradually took control to run out winners over Bulleen Templestowe by 45 points. Ruckman James Barrie provided a highlight kicking five goals in the final term. Rd 8: BEARS TOO TALENTED FOR SAINTS
Top side Kew was too talented for a hard working St. Marys Salesian and won by 25 points at Ferndale Park, Glen Iris. In the battle for top place, SMS Reserves played a stellar last quarter to overcome second side Kew by 28 points thereby retaining top place on the ladder. St. Marys Salesian Threes finished the better and did enough to beat a competitive Williamstown CYMS by 40 points. Meanwhile, the 'SMS Ladies Luncheon' held in the Pavilion was a resounding success attracting an attendance of 60 and raising $1700 for the 'Make A Wish Foundation.' > Match Reports > Ladder > Saints TV

Alan Martello presented Club Life Memberships to Joan Malcolm and Kath Leman at our 1st Gold Saints Lunch for 2015. Joan and Kath have been long time servants and supporters of our club, with an involvement going back more than 50 years. They are both current Gold Saints members and Player Sponsors. AFL Legend Michael Tuck will be a Guest Speaker at our 1st Gold Saints lunch on this Saturday April 18, and will be joined by Willie Rioli Snr. Michael Tuck played 426 games for Hawthorn (1972-91), including 6 Premierships and is a valued supporter of St Mary's Salesian as our Club Patron. VALE BARRY TOWNSEND
It is with great sadness that we learn of the recent passing of Barry Townsend. 'Crash' played 235 games for St Mary's and was captain coach of the 1964 Reserves Premiership side. He was a joint winner of the 1964 ESCFA A Grade Reserves Best and Fairest, with teammate Alan Skinner. VALE LES MOSS (1934-2014)
It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of club legend Les Moss. He played 154 games for St Mary's and captained the 1960 Premiership side.
